Vintage Seed Catalog Exhibit

The University of Minnesota's Landscape Arboretum is hosting an exhibit of 150 vintage seed catalogs. "Seed Stories: Catalogs of Life and Gardens in America" will run through April 3, 2011. Among the vintage seed catalogs that will be on display will be those of Mrs. Jessie Prior, Miss Emma V. White and Miss Carrie Lippincott.   1. This sounds cool! Many Uni libraries have old seed catalogs you can look at, to. (Reference, not check out.) (Man, this takes me back to when I was researching heirlooms!) If I'm ever in MD, I totally want to go here: http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/AR/archive/jul99/folks0799.htm and the Smithsonian Seed Library. They have some nice seed catalog covers online: http://www.sil.si.edu/digitalcollections/seednurserycatalogs/intro.htm, too.
